makeup organisation and storage systems

Makeup storage options that’ll help you to use all the products you own

One of my biggest challenges as a makeup junkie is to use all the products I actually own. Yes, I lead a hard life, obviously. My motto is, though, if I own it I should use it, and all my makeup storage solutions centre around that. If I can’t see it, I won’t use it. Simple. Therefore, I try to organise my beauty stash so I’m actually able to see everything when I open drawers and there isn’t a jumble of products inside. Here’s how I do it.

Metallic eyeshadows for summer

My Summer Face: Metallics for Eyes

I don’t know why, but this year, I’m totally into that “Bronze Goddess” look for summer. I love pairing bronzes, golds and coppers on the eyes with a bronzer or bronze-y blush and a nude-ish lip. While metallics on the lips are the next big thing to happen (after years of matte formulas), today I’d like to show you my most-loved metallics for eyes for my summer look!READ MORE

Giorgio Armani Life is a Cruise Collection Eye Tints

The new Giorgio Armani Life is a Cruise Eye Tints collection has six colors, five of them are new. It’s no secret that I love Giorgio Armani’s Eye Tints. It’s one of the most single shade eyeshadows I own. We have reviewed them when they came out here.

Reason enough to be excited? Of course! Plus the new colors reminded me of the color palette of the Italian seaside.

are ColourPop cosmetics good

ColourPop revisited – Gel eyeliner, blushes, satin liquid lipsticks and matte eyeshadows

ColourPop was one of my major disappointments of 2016. I didn’t like the products I tried from them, and then they made an appearance in the category ‘worst customer service of 2016’ in my best of 2016 post. Nevertheless, they offered free international shipping and suddenly, I wanted to give the products I hadn’t tried before a chance. So, the question is – are ColourPop cosmetics good? Those ones that aren’t hyped up liquid lipsticks and glittery eyeshadows? Millions of followers can’t be wrong, right?READ MORE

cream eyeshadows comparison

New in: Three cream eyeshadows from MAC, Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury

Three very very different cream eyeshadows I got lately and use for different purposes. MAC’s Paints are classics that have been tragically nearly purged from MAC’s permanent line (only four shades remain). I love Urban Decay’s Moondust Eyeshadows and was incredibly curious about the liquid version that got very diverse reviews. And finally, a new brand for me is Charlotte Tilbury, and my first purchase was the Eyes to Mesmerise Long-Lasting Easy Colour in Veruschka.READ MORE

ColourPop critcal review

A solid C for ColourPop – a critical review

Since ColourPop entered the market amidst the jubilant reviews of bloggers everywhere, I’ve been curious about their products. Since I’m not in the US, actually getting Colourpop products proved to be difficult – and part of a brilliant marketing strategy that centers heavily around social media, cooperations with bloggers, and the hype that happens when products aren’t easily attainable. In spring this year, I had the opportunity to get some products via the help of a friend and jumped on that offer. I ordered some of their best-loved products and bestsellers, and have by now tried them all.  Here’s my somehow critical ColourPop review.READ MORE
