The beauty world spins ever faster: more bankruptcies, more celebrity launches, ColourPop celebrates its 10th birthday and Guerlain’s Météorites their 37th (time for a re-launch!). Refillable products aren’t as sustainable as you thought, and sustainable fashion a lie. Let’s get to the beauty news in April (and have some cake! No, really!).

On the Blog

First, a housekeeping note: due to unfortunate circumstances, there won’t be any posts next week. The next post will go up on May 14th. Thank you for your patience! (If you need to get in touch, please reach out via Instagram!)

So, what happened in April? Lots! Let’s start with reviews: Good Molecule’s Cleansing Gel, indie brand’s Geek & Gorgeous Liquid Hydration Toner and two lipbalms with SPF from Japanese brand Rohto Mentholatum. And, of course, there were sunscreen reviews: Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen and Garnier Super UV Niacinamide SPF50+ Fluid (two absolute hits).

I then wondered how much skincare is too much, and also gave you skincare products that feel simply great on the skin. Finally, my indie Glam Shop eyeshadows have (partly) gone off (sigh) and I tell you about a great budget lip product and a better author than J.K. Rowling in my April favourites.
