A serum that’s called The Most must be exciting. Does The Most do – the most?! Let’s find out in my PSA The Most review!

The brand

PSA skincare favorites

PSA is the sister brand of super expensive Singaporean brand Allies of Skin (AoS) and means Purposeful Skincare by Allies. It was founded in 2020.

What it is

PSA The Most review

“This nutrient-packed (with Multiple Hyaluronic Acid, Kombucha, Panthenol, Organic Safflower Oil) hydrating serum is like an island oasis for stressed out, hungover, dull, and dehydrated skin. It provides essential hydration immediately while helping skin cells better retain moisture overall for plump and supple skin.”

Here’s what I want in a serum

(Not generally in a serum, but in this serum.) I wanted this serum especially for my morning routine. In summer, I generally use a watery toner + serum under my sunscreen. After my BELOVED CBD Milk from Paula’s Choice has been discontinued, I want something that gives me a bit of hydration and soothing with some antioxidants. I also want something that’s lightweight, sinks in quickly and is absolutely non-sticky. Keep all your glass skin products to yourselves, I need a lightweight and non-traceable base for my sunscreen, tyvm.

It’s nice and what I want! Some hydrating action, lots of soothing stuff which I love no matter summer or winter (panthenol, bisabolol, allantoin) and yes, some antioxidants (safflower seed oil, cica, liquorice, acai extract). Also, there’re three different forms of hyaluronic acid.

Application

The Most serum texture

A yellowish milky liquid, The Most has the annoying habit to clog the pump’s nozzle, making it the last in a long queue of PSA/Allies products that come with some kind of annoying packaging/packaging problems/faulty packaging. The pump itself is rather unreliable: sometimes big blobs come out, while at other times I’ve to pump a few times until there’s product.

It doesn’t smell like anything, sinks in quickly, leaving hydrated, moisturised-feeling skin behind.

Effect

PSA The Most review

Here’s what won me over: the combo of different hyaluronic acid forms really does something for me. Usually, when people talk about an immediate plumping effect from hyaluronic acid, I politely nod and get on with my life. Because for me? It just does not do that.

Until! Until The Most came into my life. You know those annoying creases your pillow might leave on your skin? Usually, they take a while to vanish for me. But The Most eradicates them with a vengeance. Boom! Smooth skin. (And yes, I couldn’t believe it either.) So yeah, this is a win for me – as a hydrating serum. Does it really soothe? I can’t say.

Comparison

I’ve used A LOT of hydrating (hyaluronic acid) serums before (e.g. The Inkey List), and I’ve used antioxidant (Niod Survival 0 and Paula’s Choice) or brightening serums (Good Molecules) before. This one, though, manages to combine properties of all three, which makes the price more palatable.

I also like it much better than Allies of Skin’s Probiotic Mist which is supposed to kinda do the same (brighten, soothe, hydrate). If you’re looking for a hydrating serum with some added benefits, this might be for you.

PSA The Most review: Worth it?

skincare rating

For me, it’s one of the better products by PSA/AoS and one I’d reconsider to repurchase. It might even replace the discontinued Paula’s Choice’s CBD Milk which I loved for its soothing and hydrating properties. Like the CBD Milk, The Most is a great base for all the sunscreens I test.
