Estee Lauder Group President John Demsey posted a meme on IG that showed the N-Word, mocked Covid measures, and was finally fired. He is just a horrible, horrible man and really shows what’s going on at EL at this point. I worked there eons ago, and even then, the company culture was incredibly toxic. (NYT)

Let’s start with some reliable resources to help people in Ukraine: here’re organisations if you’re in the USA (NPR), here’re some in the UK (Guardian), and here’re some for Germany (Tagesspiegel). (Of course you can also donate to organisations in the US if you’re in Germany, but some are country-specific. In the one for Germany there’re also organisations in Berlin that will help refugees arriving in Germany, for example, but again, of course you can donate if you’re in GB.)

I felt like everybody and their table lamp started some kind of decluttering project in the new year. Here’s mine and what I learned from it – the first thing is that I’m effing awful at it. Winter doesn’t mean that that you don’t have to wear sunscreen (but you know that already): I found some sunscreens that are really great to wear during the colder months.  I was rather exasperated when I wrote about my search for a wearable sunscreen with a high UVA protection: Brands, DO BETTER!!! When it comes to foundation friendly SPFs (if foundation is your jam) – rejoice, there’re a lot out there that work really well under foundations.
