Do you want to support some Asian-led indie brands? I bet you do! (The Indie Mood)

Language in the beauty industry: so, look, we all know that ‘clean’ doesn’t mean anything. But so does ‘science-backed’, ‘clinically-tested’, ‘hypoallergenic’ and many more. In spite of this, I think it’s far-fetched to see this as a problem of the beauty industry. Companies pay marketing experts a lot to, well, market, and successfully sells products with these terms. I’d like to see a wider education in customers. DEFINITELY food for thought that I urge you to read. (Medium)

Drive and Listen: I LOVE this app. ‘Listen to local radio stations while driving through cities around the world.’ You’re basically sitting in a taxi/cab and watch the city you choose go by. Let’s start with skincare! How much Niacinamide, Vitamin C, AHA/BHA and retinol does your skin need? A new sunscreen (that wasn’t right for me), a new brightening serum from Good Molecules (that’s okay-ish for me), and Astrid’s Holy Grail hydrating serum from Niod. And then I FINALLY tackled all my skincare and makeup samples, and here’s how that went (well, surprisingly).

If you need a bright and cheerful pick-me-up that’s cheaper than a ticket to a movie, I can recommend Glam Shop’s effect eyeshadows (they even carry HOLO eyeshadows!). For an upcoming trip (one can dream), Viseart Petit Fours palettes might be the thing. And finally, if you need some reading material for the upcoming Easter days, maybe Astrid’s book review of ‘It’s okay to have lead in your lipstick’ might inspire you.
