Already on the shelves: Zara Hair (Elle), a line of six affordable hair products for all hair types. Then, a new celebrity beauty line from Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ of all people (are beauty brands the new tax write-off?!), called Papatui (Cosmetics Business). You can’t make it up.

At the other end of the spectrum, Hyram and The Inkey List part ways, with Hyram buying the brand. We’ll see, I guess. (Beauty Matter)

The Ordinary debuted its first retinal product!

L’Oreal has introduced a new ingredient that’s supposed to fight hyperpigmentation called Melasyl. Here’s how it was developed. (Fashionista)

Rosemary oil is great for hair loss, right? Even science says so! WRONG. In maybe my favorite video of all times from Michelle, she turns a simple rebuttal video into a how-to for you and me on how to understand scientific papers. (YouTube)

WHAT, TikTok is making TANNING a TREND?!?!?!?! There’re not enough caps in this world for that. Don’t do that!!! (Allure)

Life, Love and Everything Else

Iris Apfel died. She had such a wonderful MAC collab, through which I got to know her wild and wonderful aesthetics. (Vogue)

You, me and the kitchen sink: what can I say, I’m as basic as they come, and the thing that cheered me up this month was Ryan Gosling’s performance as Ken at the Oscars. (YouTube)

It amuses me greatly that two Californians are suing Hermes because they couldn’t buy a Birkin Bag. (CNN)

Social Media is coming for your bookshelves, y’all! Let’s curate them – ‘properly’. (Let’s just say that I’ve got too many books to give up valuable shelf real estate to lovingly arrange a vase and a candle there.) (NYT, gifted link)
