The moment the promo of Chanel Beauty Cruise Collection 2018 landed in my inbox, I wanted to run to the store and get it. Is it possibly the reddish brick look that I’m currently looking for?! Or the whole collection that reads sophisticated pop of color? Let’s see!

It has a mix of reds, neutrals, and some tanning solution (which I didn’t even bother looking, all I need for a tan is going out for a run). What really spoke to me was the eyeshadow palette (of course!), the stylo yeuxs (always wish I could get every single color), and the nail polishes (classic colors with staple potential). The Palette Essential Ete was not something I like so much (creamy products on a palette aren’t my thing), neither does the lip crayons (weird colors for my skin tone).

On the middle is Le Rouge Crayon De Couleur (L-R): 19 Au Naturel, 18 Rose Shocking, 20 Ultra Rose, 17 A La Rose. Bottom Stylo Yeux Waterproof (T-D): 867-Secret, 887-Charme, 897-Revelation.

I didn’t get much, but what I ended up getting are the things I really truly love. I had the products for a couple of weeks now and I’m always happy to reach for them!

Love at first sight! I’ve been lemming for a reddish eyeshadow palette, but I want something that doesn’t look garish. If a brand could deliver that, Chanel would be the one. So, a traditional-looking neutral palette, this one definitely isn’t. There’s a certain versatility in the Éclat Énigmatique quad (54€): the ivory white to bring some lightness, the dark grey to deepen and cool, the bronze as the natural tone, and the rust-red for the pop of color.

Texture and intensity-wise, I’m really happy with this palette. By now I already lost some of the imprinted waves, because I’ve just worn them so often, lately almost every day! Every single color is buttery soft, with a certain versatility. You can wear each shade either transparently or super pigmented. That is, except for the ivory white one – which seems to stay (rightly so) transparent.

It’s not as daunting as the palette might look like, and you can add to the intensity as you’d like on the lids!

I’m a huge fan of the stylo yeuxs eyeliners. I like how it glides easily on my lids, but stays put. Révélation (27€) is a pretty taupe with silver shimmers.

In the end, it is a mini haul, but I am really happy with both products! Here is a picture of both products on.

Stay tuned for the next post of my Chanel addiction (and a special Chanel Beauty event on Sunday 😉 ).
