I have a confession to make. This year I have been a Chanel beauty addict. After the splurge with Cruise Collection The Chanel Summer 2018 Les Beiges, oh my. Despite my best intention to resist, I fell in love so much with it. Lucia Pica … I <3 you!
Chanel Les Beiges 2018
I usually skipped the Les Beiges collections in the past, due to “Les Beiges” usually imply “for up to medium skin tone only”. But this one actually featured a darker skinned model, so when I was at the Chanel Berlin store and had a look at the products, I was definitely swayed!
Chanel Healthy Glow Luminous Multi-Colour Powder in Deep (LE)
When the Chanel SA applied the Healthy Glow Powder on me, insisting that this one is so perfect on my skin tone, I was intrigued. It has this beautiful stripe of bronzy tones and this saffron color in the middle of it, oh so pretty!
The texture is very buttery soft and quite fragranced (I didn’t catch it in store at all, but it is quite potent when I put it on at home). The brush it came with is also very soft and suitable to apply it on the cheeks.
The result is a very subtle glow on me. It’s not really a bronzer for deep skin tones, but a very pretty blush, highlighter, and yes, a bronzer too if you only take the darkest shades. It showed up meekly on my super tanned arm but it showed up as a very natural summer tan on the cheek.
Chanel Healthy Glow Lip Balm in Deep
I know this is the kind of color I would love to wear a daily basis. It’s super easy to apply, no fuss, and feels good on the lips. I’d say it’s a very glorified (and pricey) lip balm, and there are close enough dupes for the color. I splurged because I love it for the ease of use, the comfort on my lips (not too oily, not too tacky, felt moisturizing).
If you’re curious about the dupes I have on this one, it is the Labiotte Wine Lip Balm in 03 Red Wine (as moisturizing and comfortable, comes in a jar where I have to dip my finger in) and Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Conditioners in Arabian Knights (not as moisturizing but deeper colors and it is organic!)
So far it’s the one product I could easily reach for to reapply all day long, it definitely has a permanent spot on my summer bag!
(On a side note, I couldn’t believe it’s $20 in the US and 37€ in Europe!)

Chanel Berlin Store Event: Coco Mademoiselle
When in Berlin, I would recommend stopping by at the newly opened Boutique Chanel Beauté in Rosenthaler Strasse 37 (near Hackescher Markt). So far it’s been a wonderful experience with their very friendly store team, and when they invited me to an evening with Coco Mademoiselle, I jumped to RSVP.
It was a fun evening with balloons, confetti, bubbles, and lots of beauty products to try on! What else can I girl ask for?
Oh actually, a best friend to go with!
She’s having fun with some playful tattoos of Chanel Mademoiselle.
And taking pictures of me with the balloons.
Successful hauls for the both of us!
