It’s difficult! – If you’re here, you’ll likely be a die-hard beauty lover, with a lot of years of seasonal collections under your belt. And very likely, like me, you find it difficult to be excited about the same products being launched again and again and again. There’ll be people excited about a new neutral palette, a cream blush and a liquid lipstick – I’m not that. And instead of moaning about Les Beiges and Terracotta Bronzers, I want to show you the summer makeup launches that I’m really excited about – much more fun for everyone involved!

Whole collection: Kiko Dolce Diva

For whom? You just want something summery

Can’t quit the classic summer makeup launches? You don’t have to! Look at Kiko for an affordable, chic and cute collection that comes with bronzers, highlighters and a quad that SCREAMS Charlotte Tilbury, but no, this doesn’t end there! There’re two foundations with SPF50, a cooling setting powder and even a tinted balm with SPF30, so you’ll have some added protection in your base products. On top, the packaging is really pretty reminding be of woven baskets. See the collection in action on YouTube here (lighter skin) and here (darker skin). See the whole collection pics here. Collection out right now on Kiko and Ulta.

Highlighter: Becca Hi Angel

For whom? You want a memento of past times

Becca is still closing down for good in September, but Hi Angel in their classic highlighter formula with RAINBOW sparkles (!!!) is their last hurrah. It’s launched for pride month and supports The Trevor Project aiming to reduce suicides among LGBTQIA+ kids. It looks mauve with an icy blue pearl effect, and I want it.

Out now, exclusive to the becca website.

Eyeshadow palettes: Sydney Grace x Temptalia

For whom? You just want some jewel tones, part 1

Let’s give it up to Christine, Temptalia’s founder, for giving us reliable swatches and dupes since 2007. Her database is ginormous, and essential for every makeup lover. She loves rich jewel tones, and her three eyeshadow palettes with Sydney Grace are just that. And on top of that, the palettes come in a light/dark option so that the blending shades included are suitable for you. The only weak part? Shipping to other parts of the world than the US is about $27 to 35, which comes close to being impertinent, and a reason for me not to order one. (All swatches and info at Temptalia, of course.)

Launches June 18th at Sydney Grace.

MORE eyeshadow palettes: Viseart/Natasha Denona palettes

Viseart Soleil Entendu palette review

For whom? Sun, beach, fun – on my eyes, pls!

You want a summery eyeshadow look with a lot of peaches, yellows and blues? Viseart Soleil La Plage Entendu is the more neutral option with two yellows and an aqua blue (video with looks and impressions on light and dark skin). Natasha Denona’s Zendo Palette leans more reddish pink with petrol and turquoise shades. Both look like fun.

I’m trying incredibly hard to resist this one (I guess I can dupe it from my stash), but it’s so hard!!! (Here’s a great video showing it in action on light skin, here on dark.) Both are out already andavailable at their own websites (Natasha Denona/ Viseart) and other retailers.

Even more eyeshadows: Danessa Myricks Colorfix Foils

For whom? You just want some jewel tones, part 2

A multipurpose cream formula for eyes, lips and cheeks (I mean, you do you) these are six new shades in purples (overview here), an aqua and one gold and. Look. So. Good!!!!!!! I want to bath in Parade (‘mauve foil with seafoam glitter shift), but have read conflicting opinions (overview here) on the staying power and coverage of the Foils. Anyone know more? Out now.

Bronzers and lipsticks: Illamasqua Double Take

Illamasqua Double Take collection review

For whom? Looks edgy, wants pretty

The Double Take collection includes three bronzing powders and five glossy lipsticks that look scary due to the stripe of blue, green or purple running through them, but in the end, it’s good old colour theory – you won’t end up with blue cheeks or green lips. Those colours are there to tone down or mute, and the end result looks very pretty. (Didn’t find that much rl pictures, but the webstore has a good array of swatches.) Out now.

Lips: Armani Lip Power

For whom? You want a new lipstick, finally

Armani has been resting on their laurels of having exceptional formulas in their line-up for a loooooooong time now, but finally, a new launch! The Lip Power Longwear Vivid Colour Satin Lipsticks (WHO comes up with those names please?!) are supposed to combine lasting power and comfort. The shades look rather muted (lots of nudes and dark reds), with the exception of one bright pink (506) that screams my name. But $40 – ouch. (First impression video.) Out now at their own site, other retailers from June 14th.
