how to remove makeup stains

The only beauty hack you’ll ever need – how to remove makeup stains

Are you as obsessed with beauty hacks as I am? I industriously read every post on them but the thing is – I never ever use them. Maybe I’m just lazy or clinging to my old ways, but some of those so-called hacks just seem so impractical, time-consuming and (dare I say it) unnessecary! There’s one, though, that I use quite often. It’s the only beauty hack you’ll truly ever need – and you will use it! Here’s my trusted hack how to get rid of makeup stains quickly and easily.READ MORE

Berlin Beauty Shopping Guide

A beauty addict and visiting Berlin? Or a Berliner but just curious on a Berlin beauty shopping guide? As a Berliner for 8 years and a beauty addict myself, I thought I’d share my go-to spots for shopping for beauty items in Berlin!

I wish I’ve done this earlier, but to my defense, Berlin is a city that changes a lot. The startup boom, the hipsters, the shops! Back then we only have two MAC stores, and now we have eight! I feel like every time I was about to write a guide, a new shop popped up or a shop changed its location. Nevertheless, here is one now, and I will do my best to update it every now and then, and feel free to ask in the comment section.

First up, for more on how to beauty shop in Germany in general, you can go to our where to shop for beauty products in Germany here. There you could find the general drugstore, department store, pharmacy, German products kind of info. We also have a beauty guide in Frankfurt here, in case you’re having a layover there before going to Berlin ;).READ MORE

Twindlytuesday: ten things you didn’t knew that Douglas carries (and are perfect gifts)

Douglas – similar to Sephora in France and the US – is most known to carry every item of makeup you might ever dream of. It’s been my go-to place for a lot of skincare and makeup I buy for a long time, but only for that. Whenever I shopped either online or in-store, I saw some other stuff from the corner of my eye, but I never bothered to look properly. Until last week that is, when I was sick and quite bored and decided to have a look at EVERY BRAND at the Douglas online shop. And I promise, minds will be blown at some of the things I found. (You can also use my list as a gift guide of some sort and use those vouchers and coupons!)READ MORE

Holiday collection hauling #3: Armani

I was waffling on my third item from my holiday collection wish list for quite some time. I swatched it, read two conflicting reviews on it (by Sara and Christine/Temptalia), wasn’t wholly convinced, and when it finally went out of stock I got the irrepressible urge to get it. Of course. Cue some frantic counter visits, and new swatching, and then I got one of the three new and limited edition Armani Eye Tints, Hollywood (#17).READ MORE

Holiday collection hauling #2: MAC Irresistibly Charming

I usually can’t get excited about MAC’s gift set offerings for their Holiday collection any more. After you’ve followed them for a few years, you start to see the semblances, and also mostly, the quality is usually not quite there. And don’t get me started on either the brush sets or the eyeshadow palettes! But there’s usually one item I’m tempted to get (please note that we don’t talk about the colour collection here) – and that’s the creamsheen glass set.READ MORE

Holiday collection hauling! #1 – Guerlain Neiges et Merveilles

When it comes to prettiness, I think we all can agree that this year’s Guerlain Holiday collection blew all other collections out of the park. It’s a small collection, and happily, it’s one of the rare instances when beautiful packaging, product quality and the overall tone and feel of the collection comes together. Every item was carefully curated to fit in with the others, and on top of it, the collection was suitable for a whole range of skintones and ages. (We won’t speak of the price of some items, though.)READ MORE
