Just like Dorit in part one, I’m a fan of the Marsala trend. Although my list of beauty faves still revolves around color, as I didn’t have a successful foray into skincare this year. It’s still so hard for me to find the HG skin care with changing skin and the harsh winter months over here. Here’s hoping that twindly will help me find better products this year!
In 2014, I gained better understanding of colors fitting well to my skintone (hello red lipsticks!). Made a point to try out some new color combination (hello yellow/green eyeshadow!). My skintone is NC42/44 in MAC. Douglas color expert thinks I’m W111 (which looks like neutral warm medium dark), and my HG foundation is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 8.

It’s my perfect shade of red, the blue-based red look is so easy for me to pull off. Very hydrating on my lips, and this shade is my instant face brightener. It feels light on the lips, has a scent to it (not super keen, but still bearable). I happen to get this lipstick at one of the hardest time of my life (at the airport on the way home to say my final goodbye to my dad), and it helped me smile again. Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in 95 Mirage
I happen to like the spongy texture of Illusion D’Ombre. It blends nicely on my eyelids, and this color, a golden medium-dark bronze, is something I could easily wear everyday for just that bit a natural-refined look. I know that this particular texture might not be the best to store for a longer time, but if you find a color you’ll wear often, get it! It would be all you need on the lids. http://bit.ly/1wOFVdU
NARS NARSissist Eye Palette
What, you asked, could be better than the cult UD Naked Palette? Well, for me it’s NARS Narssisst Palette. It lends itself better for doing a smokey eye look, which I like better when I want to do a proper eye makeup anyways. It is also well priced, albeit I was somehow expecting a bigger shade size… (no, I’ve never finished an eyeshadow, so I think this is actually fine..! Plus the shades are mostly permanent at NARS, so I could get them if I actually ran out of it). http://narscosmetics.eu/
MAC The Simpsons That Trillion Dollar Look Quad
My first try into the yellow-green eyeshadows territory. I kind of love how it looks! I think it works very well with my skintones, and the result, kind of a peacocky color combo <3.

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Lips & Cheeks in 04 Orange Fougueux
I’m usually skeptical of the multiple kind of product. But this is actually good for both lips and cheek. Not drying on the lips, went to a powdery feel on both lips and cheek. For the price, though, I’d make sure to get the color you’d love to wear on both! This shade just look so fresh on me, especially for the warmer months! Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream in Medium
It has SPF 50 and doesn’t look ashy on me! I’m undecided if it’s a HG, but I definitely like this. Have yet to try it out on properly warm months (I bought it in November). http://bit.ly/14oCX7Y

Time and time again, I just go back to this foundation. It’s one I repurchase all the time, One that doesn’t turn yellow, sit on my skin perfectly, looks like skin, dewy enough for Berlin winter and doesn’t melt even in Jakarta heat. Just perfect. Worth every cent. http://bit.ly/1tZ25Jp

L’Occitane Hand Purrifying Gel Lavender
My mom always told me to wash my hands before I eat. Now I’m thinking I should do it every time I want to put my hand on my face. Weleda Citrus Deodorant
A natural brand deodorant that actually works and smells nice! It’s proper fresh citrusy smell, not like your dishwasher soap, but like a freshly squeezed citrus peel without the stings. I love the smaller size that could fit in my carry-on makeup bag. http://bit.ly/17zIj2z

Like what Dorit said, it’s a color trend that’s flattering on both of us. I’m liking the red eyeshadows on me, the lipstick is a no brainer, and getting back to the reddish brown blush, I love it! Check out what we thought about it here.
